True Detective: Night Country has now come to an explosive end, with a dramatic final episode tying up all of the loose ends. Well, most of them at least. The series itself is True Detective's first return to the small screen after four years, with Reis and Jodie Foster stepping in as this season's sleuths. Loosely based on two wild true stories, the latest chapter takes place during an Alaskan winter as the detectives investigate the strange disappearance of the Tsalal Arctic Research Station's entire crew.

If you're based in the US, you can watch True Detective: Night Country on HBO and its streaming platform Max. In the UK, the show is hosted on Sky Atlantic and NOW, much like previous HBO shows including Game of Thrones, Succession, and The Last of Us.
