Dear Members of the PlasmaPy Google Group,
On behalf of the PlasmaPy project, we are happy to announce that the first video in our Introduction to PlasmaPy series is now available for viewing on YouTube. This 11-minute video answers the question, “What is PlasmaPy?” and provides a brief, but comprehensive overview of the motivations, goals, and anticipated benefits of this project.
This and future videos will be distributed through our YouTube Channel: PlasmaPy. In addition to the Google Group, you should subscribe to this channel to make sure you are notified when the next videos and tutorials become available.
The PlasmaPy team is hard at work developing more training and tutorial content for PlasmaPy. In the next few weeks and months, we plan to produce videos that will guide new users on how to navigate the PlasmaPy website, documentation page, and GitHub repository. We will provide tutorials on how to install and use PlasmaPy as well as give presentations on how to contribute to the software development, how to become a participating project, and how to contribute to PlasmaPy’s educational efforts.
Please feel free to forward this message to any of your students, colleagues or other members of the plasma science community who may be interested in PlasmaPy.
