This is intended to be an epic galactic campaign sprawling over at least 30 missions for all three races. At the moment it's roughly set after the events of Brood War - but I'll update as I continue the storyline.

This implements the first of a very early AI experiment I wanted to make via triggers. It's extremely early stages, so at the moment, all it really does is throw a couple of scouts at you until it bugs out.

This implements a gimmick, but also comes with a bit of a visual joke, which I will try to fix when I start learning how to use the more advanced data editors (it would not accept my obvious solution in using allied players). Hopefully it's not too formidable in the mean-time.

- I was planning to experiment more with custom triggered AI (for specific reasons), but at the moment, it's just very simple wave-based mechanics, and whatever it is the computer does when I tell it to do things.

At the moment, it's a working 0.3 Alpha, and it might range from Easy to Impossible depending on your skill level and ability to meet the quirks. (It was completely ridiculous for a second, but if I can beat it, there's your variability.)

Feel free to leave any comments about bugs you might have experienced that I haven't listed here. (And of course, any comments in general which are always welcome, unless they're bad, in which case I condemn them thoroughly.)

I started this campaign largely for the practise, the improvement, the experimentation, and of course, because I love StarCraft and the stories of that universe and always wanted to finish making a campaign. So, I hope to make something good!

Since long wait timers also tend to reset themselves when the game is loaded, and seeing as you're experimenting with AI, I would suggest getting to know AI modding. It is really simple to do and can get you results such as always-accurate timers and engaging aggressive AI, not to mention removing about the half of pre-placed brigades you have around the maps and replacing them with AI training and placing those units on his own during gameplay.
EDIT: Further looking at the maps, it seems like you could also use better custom ramps, which can be done either through looking at specially created ramp maps to which I can provide link (don't require additional work, but may still be a bit inadequate in terms of appearance) or tileset modding (needs additional work in photoshop, but results in ramps looking as good as you would like them to).

Partially I was playing with triggers hopefully because it'd add a bit of random factor trying to make it work as opposed to AI Script (those silly things, y'know - also because I'm ornery), but also because I haven't tried AI Scripts yet - but yeah, I'm keen to try out the tools. ^.^

BW's AI does have already included tools to support randomness (for one, all attack targets are randomized unless the attack_to command is specifically used).
Im not sure of mapster's restrictions on the matter, would it work to DM you tutorial stuff or it's better to use some other means of more direct communication?

I just mean, I have a weird random thing where the scouts will stop periodically and gather together, and things like that. I like the idea that necessity breeds invention (just since I'm learning). But the thing is, I actually switch their players for convenience, so I see no reason I couldn't add those things to an AI controlled map anyway (assuming I wanted to), so that should totally work fine, right? In any case, it is totally what I need to learn (triggers are murderous beasts, and I must fight them every time). ^.^

I mean, obviously I'd assume an AI would behave like an AI, and maybe do things like have their units wait to gather together before attacking and such and thus be mucho good - but just so you know what I meant. ^.^

StarCraft: Mass Recall (SCMR) is a project that recreates the classic StarCraft and Brood War gameplay as well as the entire single-player campaigns within the StarCraft II engine. StarCraft: Mass Recall contains 68 maps, 59 from the original StarCraft/Brood War game, 3 that were hidden or deleted on various StarCraft supports, and 6 from the 1998 demo campaign.

FRIENDLY DISCLAIMER: This Mod and all campaign files are free. This means, all who work on Mass Recall are putting their free time into an incredibly comprehensive remaster of all of StarCraft and Brood War, including entirely new custom campaigns such as the Stukov Series and Enslavers Redux. Thus, there should be absolutely no expectations that bug fixes or new features will be released in any sort of timely manner. This is a "we'll get to it when we get to it" situation. Please be aware the modders here have work lives, family lives, and simply do not have the energy to maintain a lively work cycle to keep the Mod 100% up to date. We do promise we will release updates when we feel they are ready to be released. We hope that you understand our position on this.

Note that the Cinematics addon has not changed. If you have the latest Cinematics addon already installed, do not replace it with the file included with StarCraft: Mass Recall v8.0, this is just a "dummy" file in case you're not using the addon.

To install the SCMR Cinematics Pack if you've already run the installer without it, replace the "SCMRcinematics" file in your "Mods" folder with the one in the cinematics pack download. Similarly, if you have already downloaded the English Localization Mod but wish to change languages to one of the above supported versions, replace the "SCMRlocal" Mod file in your "Mods" folder with the respective language you wish to use.

If you've played previous versions of StarCraft: Mass Recall, for a clean installation it is recommended you delete any previous StarCraft: Mass Recall-related folders or ZIP-Archives from your StarCraft II installation directory, and delete or rename the SCMR.SC2Bank file in (Documents)/StarCraft II/Banks.

The Chinese Localization v6.2.1 of StarCraft: Mass Recall is also hosted on the Chinese cloud-service by Baidu. There you can also find a comprehensive installation guide in Chinese to properly install this localization. To get to the required files and the installation guide follow this link here.

1. Download the required file sets (see the "Downloads" section above). For StarCraft: Mass Recall to work properly you need to download the Campaign Maps - that are bundled with the Main Mod (SCMRmod) and a "dummy" Cinematics Mod (SCMRcinematics) - as well as the Assets Mod (SCMRassets) and a Localization Mod (SCMRlocal).

The StarCraft II installation directory should look similar to graphic [2] below. Note that you may need to create the "Maps" folder here if it does not already exist. Then move the folder called "Starcraft Mass Recall" (with lowercase "c") from the extracted folder to the "Maps" folder within your StarCraft II installation directory. The "Maps" folder should now look like graphic [3] below.

4. Next, move the "Mods" folder from the extracted folder into the StarCraft II installation directory (the same place as the "Maps" folder). Your "Mods" folder should now have four Mod files and resemble graphic [4] above.
5. While your newly placed "Starcraft Mass Recall" folder within the "Maps" folder should now look like graphic [5] below.

This file includes a new 30-mission extra bonus campaign "Enslavers Redux" by OmegaWeaponX! This series contains 4 episodes, with 9 unique maps per Terran, Protoss, and Zerg races, with 3 epilogue maps. Content and story is based on the original Enslavers custom maps in StarCraft and Dark Vengeance maps in Brood War. Features brand new dialog and story, missions, and enhanced heroes with their own level-up mechanics! Learn what happens between the major StarCraft episodes and the events leading up to StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty!

While this custom campaign can be played stand-alone by opening up the unique Enslavers Redux Campaign Launcher and launching missions from there, it is also integrated into Mass Recall via the "Extras" menu. In order to load it properly in for the Mass Recall Launcher to work with this campaign, follow these instructions:

StarCraft, Brood War, Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void, Battle.net and Blizzard Entertainment are trademarks or registered trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. in the U.S. and/or other countries.

I am now doing a 2nd playthrough of mass recall, but ran into a tiny problem. I seem to recall in the previous version I played being able to use portraits from starcraft remastered but this time I wasn't able to find the option. Regular units work fine, but so far with Raynor and Kerrigan I can either get SC2 portraits or slightly altered fan made versions of them if I choose BW portraits from the models options. Can't remember how I did it the first time around and hopefully someone can point out my mistake. Thanks and good day to all.

I just made an account here to thank everyone who were/are part of this project. My greatest apprehension, since childhood, about playing SC1 has been the 12-unit limit. More than a decade after, I get to play the SC1 campaigns with high fidelity and with substantial quality-of-life improvements affored by the SC2 engine. Sometimes, I find Hard difficulty stressful and frustrating, but I have finished the campaigns eventually and I consider the difficulty spike (versus the counterpart difficulty option in the original game) a justified trade-off to smooth playing.

The game files still work well. The automatic installer no longer works but manual installation is easy to follow. The only technical issues I experienced in my gameplay occured in Campaign Episode III (Protoss) - Mission 5 (Choosing Sides): the Terran fleet does not appear in the makeshift cinematic (just the Char atmosphere) but the ensuing skirmish still occurs, and completing the said mission leads to an indefinite blackscreen (can be worked around by using the victory condition cheat). Nevertheless, I don't consider these issues significant considering the age of the files and the voluntary nature of this endeavor.
