Hello, I know I’m a little off topic here, but I was hoping someone could lead me in the right direction. I am looking to replace our old datacard 295 machine, the machine I selected per other references was a CIM841, but have recently been informed the new CIM841 can not be modified to use aluminum cards-Plastic only. I am currently considering a CIM ME 550 CR80, does anyone have experience with this machine? This model conversing with IRIS-BG program. All leads appreciated Andreas Daehnick, McKee Bot. Garden, DOH. Thank you

Andreas, apologies for the long timeline to response. I do think this post is still very relevant to those of us that also utilize this equipment for identifying and labeling our mapped plants. Interesting news about the 'new' CM841, but I can say the one we have from 2022 does struggle with aluminum cards & alignment after only 40 cards in the hopper, sometimes fewer.  I'm on my third replacement clip, and I'm hoping it resolves the issue.  I'm not sure if it is the CR80 size that is the issue, since I know other larger Gardens haven't seemed to have reported this issue in APGA communities yet.  Did you happen to find what you were looking for?

As for conversing with software, from what I can tell most of these require you to use some form of csv file you export from your database. Please anyone with more knowledge chime in.
