event background color descriptions not showing up in Plans 8.1.5

I tested this on a fresh, uncustomized install of Plans 8.1.5, and
after setting $options{show_event_background_color_descriptions} = 1;
the descriptions still don't show up in the dropdown on the web page.
Has anyone else had this trouble?

Hi,
This is a real bug, thanks for reporting it! It's been around since
version 8.0 of plans.
Version 8.1.8 includes a fix.
