No Text in Calendar View

I have just upgraded from v7 to 8.1.8, and think I have gotten most
things to work but when I create a new event if I don't set a
background color for the event, no text shows up in the calendar view,
I have been searching the template and css files but can't seem to
find where the text color is being set to, I am guessing white. Any
help here would be appreciated.

I must admit having been a plans fan for years I am finding this
version to be a bit frustrating. Just my two cents.

Same problem here. Seems that 8.1.8 introduced a "NONE" background
option nad set it as default. WIth "NONE", there is no event label
text visible. The work around is to make sure you choose a background
color (eg, white) when adding a new event. The default background
"NONE" did not exist as far as I can tell in previous versions.
