I have a Debian 7 (wheezy) server that I an not able to install plans on   I get the error about Perl is the incorrect version. I have Perl 5.14.2.21 +deb7u1  so I know that the version is ok   what else should I look for?

You need a newer Perl version.  According to the requirements page at http://www.planscalendar.com/index.php?p=requirements

For Admins/Webmasters:

  • Plans runs on unix or windows-based machines.
  • Plans is written in perl, and requires perl version 5.6 or better.

I used the perl -v command and got this output "This is perl 5, version 14, subversion 2 (v5.14.2) built for i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi-64int
(with 88 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail)" so it appears that my perl version is newer than 5.6
