Hi Everyone,

I use Bum Genius 3.0 as 90% of my diapers. I really like the pocket
diaper system. However, the hook and loops are driving me crazy.
Looking back, I would prefer snaps (like Fuzzi Bunz). How are they
driving me crazy? They come loose in the wash and the hooks are
sticking to the loops (on the front) or to the inserts. Then they get
gunked up and I have to clean the hooks out. Or, they stick to the
loops on the front and the loops get fuzzy. The idea has crossed my
mind to sell my Bum Genius stash and replacing them with Fuzzi Bunz,
or something similar.
So my question is...what is SIMILAR to Fuzzi Bunz but not so
expensive?

Yes, I have replaced the laundry tabs. Yes, that has improved the
function. However, I have a few brand new BG's that are less than 5
months old and the laundry tabs on those new ones are the ones that
are coming off consistently. Would you consider that a warranty claim?
I know they have replacement tabs, but they are only 5 months old!
And, I don't sew so it's a pain to have them changed out by someone
else.

I believe Bum Genius 4.0 are the pocket and you have the option of either the velcro or snaps.  I have used my BG 3.0 with velcro for 7 months and just recently have a few of them not stayed on the laundry tabs.  I found that if you hang the pockets with velcro to dry the velcro parts don't warp as much.  The pockets dry pretty quickly hanging.  I hang the velcro pockets and dry the inserts and my all-in-one organcis in the dryer at night and by the morning everything is dry and ready to go.

Love,
Jen Scogin

Contact cotton babies. They deal directly with the consumer when it comes to repairs. The new 4.0 bum genius diapers have a snap version.

There are also tutorials on line for converting bum genius diapers to snaps. I have snap pliers and snaps at www.nappyshoppe.com.
