We are glad to announce that DAAD (the German Academic Exchange Service) is offering up to seven (7) scholarships, open to young East African academics and scientists, for the academic year 2018/19 to pursue a PhD in Germany.
In addition, together with the Government of Kenya, DAAD will offer additional twenty-one (21) scholarships to staff of public and private universities and public research institutes in Kenya to pursue a PhD in Germany.
The scholarships are open to all fields of research. No age limit!
The Master’s degree must not be older than 6 years at the time of the application.
Application deadline: 31st October, 2017 via www.funding-guide.de
Among the main requirements is a well developed research proposal (between 10 to 15 pages). In addition, the applicant needs to find a supervisor in Germany or get admission into a structured PhD programme.
