Hi there,

I think I'm caught up now - well done both - it's still really great to read.  Good job as I read the emails, read the Chapter for revision, try and read the 'zine draft and invariably get sucked into reading the whole thing one more time when I get A&E!

Many thanks for including the Spacer's Hymn which seemed the right moment for it gamewise and was a delight for me to see included on a personal level.

One thought occurred which Conrad might want to dismiss entirely or adopt in his own words.

I can't help thinking (based on my experience with the hymn) that there should be a sentence or two after along the lines of:

"As I heard the familiar strains [and listened to the words?] there was the never failing emotional hit as I reflected on comrades past, times of danger in one part of space or another, days of anticipation in Jump.  Even now, somewhere in Charted Space, ships and crews were facing peril and I could only pray for their safety."

??  Just a thought and very happy for it to be revised as either/both of you see fit.  My whole purpose for writing it was to try and bring something of that utter familiarity of the music and lyrics which never fail to move many who have friends/comrades at sea.  Even if I've not expressed it very well above.
