Meeting NotesJuly 17th
The meeting included an informal discussion about the following:
Misc.- Vandalism has been a troublesome issue. Electric Works is seeking for an effective manner in which to deter vandalism in area. Further discussion needed.
- Tree planting is scheduled for Fall 2008. Depending on amount of work needed, one or several trees may be planted. Depending on how far the money will go. Cahil/ Mercy possibly working together to expand planting along Mission Street.
Parking Day:- September 19, 2008 – Nothing definite planned, but the theme could be centered around Planktown. The next meeting will cover the details regarding Parking Day. Preliminary ideas: 1) Bring planks to reenact historic landscape, 2) Fliers and paraphenalia advertising Planktown Neighbors.
- Music studio planning on playing music via speakers or having an artist perform.
- Use parking day to create momentum and generate interest for Planktown.
- Determine number of people participating in local area and ways to connect each group.
- Look into the possibility of involving the bar, Shine, they may be interested in getting involved.

- Add to Western Soma network and other neighborhood groups.
- Tie into Electric works and other neighborhood activities taking place.
- Add music studio into list of participating groups.

Brook will be having a baby in August and will be moving soon-there-after out of the area. Both Kearstin & Brook promise to stop by for Park(ing) day in September!
