Seaof Flame II is a remake of the first map of the series, which was showing its' age, and really needed an update. Sea of Flame II contains all new locations and areas, and will be great fun for new people to the series, and also Super Hostile veterans.

This map is a network of linked underground caverns. The map takes place entirely underground, and the whole thing is wrapped in a giant cube of bedrock (no escape!) This was the first map of the series where I introduced the Victory Monument goal system. To me, it has a very "Super Metroid" or "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" feel to it.

(This map is old, and is scheduled for a complete remake, "Canopy Carnage II". Not just an update, but a completely new map, but with the same style and theme. You might want to play another map instead of this one.)

A dark, brutal world of nothing but despair. Voted for and requested by the community, this map starts out brutal and stays that way. Unlike Legendary, in which the difficulty gradually increased the farther you got into the map, Nightmare Realm is the real deal from the very second you load into the map.

The map reminds me a little of the old NES Megaman games. Your spawning area is a central hub, from which you can access the other areas of the map, which surround it. There are many paths and routes you could take from the start, and don't be afraid to unzip fresh copies of the map to try a new starting strategy.

Oh man, things have been rough for awhile. Are you tired of dying every 5 seconds? Do feel like you need a vacation? Do you need your hot heart chilled with a cool island song? Oh no wait, I mean... cool heart warmed with a hot island song? Or was it... Bah, whatever.

This is the first Super Hostile map made from the ground up supporting enchanting and brewing, and the first map created after the armor changes in Minecraft 1.0. Expect wonderful loot, enchanted items, potions, and plenty of monsters to put your awesome items to use against!

This map features shuffling, of chests, spawners, and the Victory Monument. Each letter variant (a, b, c, and d) is the same, but the loot chests and spawners have been randomized. The Victory Monument is also in a different location in each variant. Now, if you are watching a LP of one variant, you can play another and have a different experience.

Explore the vast mining operation left behind by a team of miners and explorers. Deep underground, a huge network of caves, tunnels, and massive chasms contains treasure, adventure, and extreme dangers. Defeat all-new enemies made possible with the Minecraft 1.5 update, and venture even deeper into areas no human has tread for thousands of years.

Based on a short story of the same name by Andrea J. Buchanan, this CTM map is a wicked and challenging experience, which has been officially adopted as part of the Super Hostile series. Fans of Kaizo Caverns and Spellbound Caves will really enjoy this map. But, fair warning, it's very difficult.

This map is currently under construction. Endless Deep used to occupy the #2 slot of Super Hostile, however I want to give that spot to my upcomming Fallen Kingdom map. Instead, Endless Deep will have the #2 spot on my Mini Hostile series, and be a shorter map taking place in an underwater fortress.

My first multiplayer Super Hostile map. Two teams race against each other to complete a miniature Victory Monument! They play on mirror-image lanes, and can shoot at each other, and also trigger traps that will go off on the enemy teams lane! Please be sure to read the included README file for full details and rules.

My second multiplayer Super Hostile map. Two teams race against each other to complete a miniature Victory Monument! This map is more heavily focused on direct combat than the first RFW map, and has many TNT cannons and bow and arrow supplies to blast the other team. Please be sure to read the included README file for full details and rules.

My first "Capture the Wool" map. Two teams share one large lane, starting on either side. Teams try to retrieve their wool colors from the enemy territory, while the enemy team does the same. Expect frantic, direct, PVP action!

The jungle floor in Canopy Carnage II is going to be.... well... this map! I think it's really nice looking, so I figured some of you may enjoy it as a basic survival map before I make it into a crazy hostile super jungle.

Sea of Flame is the first installment of the Super Hostile series, a CTM map series by Vechs. Like many Vechs maps, it has a unique theme, and has even been referenced in a later map, Legendary.

Sea of Flame II takes place on islands in a sea of lava. The map is divided into areas and dungeons, with areas generally being less hostile, acting like intersections between other areas and dungeons, and dungeons being challenges in which the player finds exactly one of the wool blocks required for the Victory Monument.

This map is a complete remake of the original Sea of Flame, which was designed for Minecraft Beta 1.2 and was primarily a survival challenge map with no real goal. Several of the original map's features can still be found in Sea of Flame II, though altered noticeably (for example, the original Victory Monument down the rabbit hole is covered with cobwebs, and the floating gravel trap nearby no longer unleashes creepers on the player).

Two versions of Sea of Flame II exist: one playable in Minecraft Beta 1.7.3, and one for Minecraft 1.2.5 (with potions and enchanted bonus loot). This wiki covers only the latter version. For optimal balance, do not play this map in a later version of Minecraft.

Super mutant is a general term referring to humanoid mutants created by exposing a regular human to a variety of the Forced Evolutionary Virus (FEV). The resulting hulking mutants typically possess exceptional strength, endurance, resistance or immunity to disease and radiation, as well as modified intelligence. A common trait of all super mutants is that they are completely sterile and cannot reproduce (one variety is even explicitly asexual, i.e. devoid of primary sexual characteristics). The mutation generally cannot be reversed, as once introduced to the subject, FEV automatically corrects any changes to DNA. A theoretical cure would have to both reintroduce the original DNA and prevent the FEV from overwriting it.

Several different groups of super mutants, also known as strains[RPG 1], exist with physiological differences resulting from the use of different varieties of the Forced Evolutionary Virus in different part of the former United States of America.[RPG 2] While some super mutants have traveled far from their place of origin, there is little evidence of any contact between these populations.[RPG 1]

Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout: New Vegas feature super mutants derived from FEV-II at Mariposa Military Base, who appear as friends, foes, and companions. They are predominantly intelligent, social, and their position in traditional human society is a major question in each of these titles.

In Fallout, they are the creations of the Master, who believes that the differences that led to the Great War could be overcome through the forced evolution of humanity. The Master's army of super mutants (Unity) plans to conquer the wasteland and usher in a new era of peace and prosperity by mutating those worthy of joining and sterilizing those who refuse (unaware of their own sterility). Although ultimately defeated in 2162 by the Vault Dweller, who destroys Mariposa Military Base and eliminates the Master, the super mutants aren't all hostile and represent a variety of attitudes, especially towards the Master and his grand plan.

In Fallout 2, by 2241 the remnants of the Unity react in different ways to the Master's defeat; some refuse to lay down arms and become raiders, others join the NCR Rangers or found new communities where humans and mutants coexist, such as Broken Hills. The super mutant companion, Marcus, is the sheriff of this town. Also introduced is a new, second generation of super mutants, originating once again in Mariposa: The Enclave excavated the base between 2236 and 2237, using captured Redding miners as slaves. Without protective equipment, exposure to the FEV still sealed within the base resulted in uncontrolled mutation. These second generation mutants tend to be, on average, far less intelligent than their peers.

In Fallout: New Vegas, by 2281 super mutants are rare, but represent another attempt to normalize relations with humans, efforts made possible by the actions of the returning Marcus. The nightkin are greatly expanded upon in the game, representing the long term legacy of the Master's work: Near-perfect super mutants twisted by years of exposure to stealth radiation, suffering from various psychological ailments. Dealing with the nightkin and finding a cure for them is a major element of the super mutant story in the game, at Black Mountain, REPCONN test site, and Jacobstown.

By the late 2280s, some Mariposa super mutants have migrated to East Coast areas such as the Capital Wasteland or the Commonwealth. Their subsequent relationship, if any, with super mutants of other strains in those locations is currently unknown.[RPG 3]

Fallout 3 features super mutants derived from the Evolutionary Experimentation Program (EEP), an FEV derivative used at Vault 87. These mutants are almost invariably hostile, borderline feral, and completely asexual. They act as hostile creatures barely capable of speech or coherent social organization, but are considered a major threat by the Lyons' Brotherhood of Steel, which has engaged them in a war of attrition for nearly two decades by the time the game starts.

Only two non-hostile super mutants appear in the game, Fawkes, a late game companion who also prefers to be called a meta-human rather a super mutant, and Uncle Leo, a randomly encountered traveler. These represent the only non-hostile interactions with them in the entire game. Uniquely, these super mutants never seem to stop growing and ancient, gigantic mutants called behemoths can be encountered. Centaurs are common companions of the super mutants, another hideous effect of EEP mutation.
