PlanetMath running under Planetary now released.

After months of hard work on a new software system for PlanetMath, we
are now ready to announce: the "Beta version" of PlanetMath running
under Planetary is now available. You can check it out at
http://metameso.org/q/ (and we will make beta.planetmath.org redirect
there shortly).

Your existing login credentials should work. The new system has a
contemporary look and feel, and some nice new features (which are
described in full in our release notes). We have ported the
encyclopedia, forums, user profiles, and corrections -- in short, the
"core features" of PlanetMath all work on the new site.

We expect to make improvements in consultation with the PlanetMath
community over the next month and a half: we hope to be ready to
switch over to the new platform in mid-July. Please report any bugs
you find in the forum we set up for this purpose:

Note that we will not carry forward changes on this installation in
the next iteration, in order to give everyone a chance to fully test
things out without worrying about messing things up. However, we will
be sure to leave the installation online long enough for anything that
you DO want saved to be copied over. If there are things I can do at
the "admin" level to help, just let me know.

Finally, the Planetary development team will be improving the software
into the future: you can check out future plans on Github.
