The Guardian recently published an article: “US demands EU reverse new climate rules to allow surge in gas imports”

I honestly have no words. The EU must stand firm and reject this pressure.
But let’s be clear — this drives the final nail into the coffin of the Paris Climate Agreement.

For the Global South, this moment exposes a harsh reality: mitigation—though vital—is no longer enough. We must urgently design and deploy rapid cooling solutions to protect billions already facing existential climate risks.

It’s time to move the conversation from “How do we reduce emissions?” to “How do we rapidly cool and protect climate-vulnerable societies?”
