The acceleration of warming is an important finding but Rahmstorf’s claim "How quickly Earth continues to warm ultimately depends on how rapidly we reduce global CO₂ emissions from fossil fuels to zero" totally undermines any policy impact by promoting a fantasy policy.
I made this graph of the acceleration of warming. This shows big jumps from 2011 and 2021, not 2015 as suggested by the paper.
