Annual Meeting Abstract Submissions

The AGU24 Annual Meeting with the theme of “What’s Next for Science” includes close to 200 sessions directly identified as encompassing science regarding global environmental change. These sessions include topics as wide-reaching as changing land use, effects of present and past atmospheric rivers, anthropogenic effects on aerosols, fire activity through time and space, and past climate archived in corals, ice, and sediments.

Abstract submissions are open until 31 July 2024.

Outstanding Student Presentation Award (OSPA) Update

The AGU24 Annual Meeting encompasses exciting updates for the Outstanding Student Presentation Awards (OSPA). Students are now able to elect to participate in OSPA and are no longer automatically signed up upon registration. Students who prefer to participate in OSPA have the chance to sign up for the program at the same time as submitting their AGU24 abstract.

Students who choose to participate in OSPA will now also review and evaluate at least one other OSPA presenter at AGU24, allowing a wider review process for all submissions. Students are required to upload a digital version of their presentation, as well as presenting their work at their assigned time slot. Others who wish to volunteer to review student presentations can select this option when submitting their AGU abstract.
