Hi all,

This article [1] seems to suggest that collapse is inevitable without social reform.  The analysis is thought-provoking. The chances of sensible decisions on the climate crisis seem small, which means we just have to try even harder for a breakthrough.

This does indeed look thought provoking.  I have yet to study it in detail but I strongly suspect that the climate action we all crave will not happen until those social reforms are well established.  If so, the stronger efforts you call for should first be directed there.  

Sadly I think the history is also likely to show that such reforms rarely happen in an orderly manner.

The message seems to be Brace Brace Brace and trust that the pilot has what it takes and be prepared in case he doesn't.

I have been doing some related research on how to avoid collapse, and recently put together the attached long conversation with ChatGPT exploring causes and possible solutions, using Christianity as a model for climate repair.

We are still awaiting the funding decision, there have been delays. The tragedy is even bigger as the climate change is going to be a many times faster and more severe process than the current climate models indicate. The collapses of glaciers and warming of climate is going to happen many times faster. The semasiographic language we are first time able to read indicate that the time period which ought to be 599 years and 8 months from 2650 BCE is stretched to 5300 BCE, all the difference being excess geological carbon infusing air originating from period Last Glacial Maximum (Metane Hydrate Depressurisation Maximum) to Holocene Thermal Optimum (Arctic Permafrost Melting Maximum) until it gradually was salted away by the rock weathering (mainly Olivine group minerals especially Peridotite and also to some extent by Basalt). Likewise the wooden parts in the Great Pyramid of Giza are radiocarbon-dated with 902 extra carbon-14 years. Even 1,000 years later when Santorini eruption occurred is carbon-14 dated 1650 BCE whereas the artists works are dateable to 1500 BCE, with 150 years worth extra old carbon still in cirulation. We just will get so depressed as these facts are still noticed in climate models.
