USAID Adapt Asia-Pacific’s Support Program for Government Officials for Training in Climate Change Adaptation and Finance
USAID Adapt Asia-Pacific is embarking on its second year of training support in climate change adaptation and finance to government officials from 13 eligible countries in Asia: Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. Our support includes airfare, per diem, course fee, and/or other costs associated with attending high quality training courses being offered in the region by internationally recognized institutions.
If you are interested in participating in this support program, we would like to encourage you to visit our webpage and review minimum requirements and other detailed information being available at
http://www.adaptasiapacific.org/activities/support-government-officials-asia-training-climate-change-adaptation-and-finance. Previous government officials who received support from USAID Adapt Asia-Pacific were selected on a competitive basis. They, nonetheless, have some common qualifications, including:
• Mid-level or senior government officials from an eligible country;
• Have work responsibilities that directly relate to the training program for which the application is be made;
• Have the good level of English proficiency; and
• Have completed the equivalent of at least two years of undergraduate education in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
You are welcome to choose the choice of training courses in the areas of climate change adaptation and finance currently available by reputable training institutions. Examples of these short courses, however, are provided on the link above. While we do not have any restrictions for the training course of your choice, the courses provided in the region is preferred.
In order to allow sufficient time for us to proceed with successful applicants, please submit a completed application package at least two months in advance of your respective training course starting date.
Thank you for your kind attention to this message.
Sincerely Yours,
Adapt Asia-Pacific’s Capacity Building Team
