I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
The Word To Live By: I know that God, the creator of the universe, is for me, on my side, and showed up in my life to give me an abundant life. I also know that if I walk in (abide in) His Word, I will walk in the will of God for my life. At the present time, I am in a transition period; I have no idea what the next chapter will bring. As many of you know, I quit my school bus driving job at the end of the school year. I had some ideas, but didn’t know how I was going to implement them. I still do and I still don’t. I’m a goal-oriented person, and for the first time in a long time, I don’t know what the goal is. But I do know the ever-present goal of living by faith is still in play. And living by faith is not necessarily believing God for some supernatural goal to happen, but living every day, walking in the moral integrity of the Word of God, even when you don’t have the big goal out in front of you. It’s controlling your thought life to line up with God’s Word. And it’s forgetting the past and pressing on for the high call of God for your life. This is for sure; In my fitness, diet, work, dealings with people, my relationship with my wife and family, with what my eyes see and what my mouth says, I want everything to honor God. Walking in love, turning the other cheek when wronged, etc, honoring God needs to be the motivation for all of my goals and aspects of my life. God started a good work in me 77 years ago, and I hooked up with it 49 years ago. And I’m sure of this – positive- can’t change my mind, I’m sure that He who started the good work in my life will complete it before He calls me home. The other thing I’m sure of is that He will do the same for you.
