Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7:7,8

The Word To Live By: Here we go! Another great promise from God to you/us personally! You ask, you seek, you knock and you will get an opened door, because you are an “everyone”. If you read this in the original Greek (and why most translators left this out I don’t know) it reads, “keep asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking.” In other words, don’t give up on it until you get an answer or manifestation of what you are after (assuming it lines up with the will of God, which is a superabundant life. Every chance I get! 😉) God wants to give what is good to those who ask (verse 11). The preparation for this promise is found in the first six verses of this chapter but is summed up in verse 12, “In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” The question is how do I continue to ask, seek, and knock when everything points to, “It’s not working for me”? By diligent, persistent faith. Hebrews 6:11-12, “And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”  So ask, seek, or knock beyond your highest prayer, desire, thought, hope, or dream because He wants to do it for you. Don’t give up because of a feeling, or temptation which is based on a feeling of pride or lust. All things are possible to him that believes. Walk by faith and not by sight. It’s the substance of things hoped for; it’s the evidence of things not seen. Yet.
