He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By His wounds you are healed. 1 Peter 2:24 New Living Translation
The Word To Live By: This is something I thank God for every day. I thank Him because I’m the righteousness of God in Christ; therefore, I’m saved from eternal damnation and will be spending eternity in heaven, not hell. And I thank Him I’m healthy. “What about when you don’t feel healthy?” I refute it. The Word of God said I was healed, so I must be healed, regardless of how I feel. “What if you still don’t feel healthy?” I might take some medicine, I might go to the doctor, or I might ignore it and keep going. According to the Word of God, sickness doesn’t have the right to stay in my body. According to Psalm 103:3, one of the benefits of knowing God is that He “pardons all my iniquities, and heals all my diseases.” According to Psalm 107:20, “He sent His word and healed me, and delivered me from my destructive behavior.” Then in verses 21 and 22, He said, “Let them give thanks to the Lord for His lovingkindness, and for His wonders to the sons of men! Let them also offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and tell of His works with joyful singing,” even if I don’t feel like it, I do that. “What if it still doesn’t go away?” I keep doing it. Walking by faith, not by sight, isn’t temporary; it’s eternal. Jesus said in Matthew 5:18, “For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.” If I wake up in the morning and look outside and see the earth, and if I look up and see the heavens, I assume heaven and earth have not passed away, and therefore neither have any of the promises of God, which brings me to this point. I’m talking about health here, but it works the same way for your finances, peace of mind, and any other promise of God you find in His Word. “The Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” If you don’t give up on it, it won’t give up on you.
