The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, but the heart of the fool does not do so. Proverbs 15:7

The Word To Live By: This is going to be short and sweet. It’s what jumped out at me today as I was reading Proverbs. It addresses the importance of the words of your mouth and the importance of the Word of God in determining your nature and the course of your life. It addresses the two things that dictate those things, what you think about (Your soul) and what you believe. (Your heart) A fool is a person who acts unwisely or recklessly; a silly person. it always has within it the meaning of a rebel, especially against God and the laws of order, decency, and justice. Notice that is what is in the heart of a fool. That means it goes beyond immaturity, and to a person’s nature. You do not want to find yourself in a position of rebelling in your heart against the laws of order and decency as set forth by the Word of God. How do you know the difference between head knowledge and heart knowledge when it comes to rebelling against these laws? When it doesn’t bother your conscience to do it or when others behave in such a manner. Or when you don’t believe it’s a sin, so you don’t do anything to change it within yourself. What’s the remedy or how do you change it? Talk about, with confidence, what you know about the Word of God to yourself and to others. What it says and who you are in Christ. This is what I know; the instructions in the Bible will change the direction of your life from stagnant or a downward spiral, to upward and success in whatever you set your hand to. And I’m not afraid to talk about it.
