The Word To Live By: 7-15-26

Now to Him who, by (in consequence of) the (action of His) power that is at work within us is able to (carry out His purpose and) do superabundantly, far above all that we (dare) ask or think [ infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams.] Ephesians 3:20 Amplified Translation
The Word To Live By: As I have mentioned before, one of the ways I meditate on the Word of God is to write it out and then a quick sentence or two about what it means to me. For whatever reason, yesterday, I decided to write this out twenty-five times. (If I write it in long hand, it makes me concentrate and focus more than typing.) Anyway, I’m not done with it yet. I tried to come up with something to believe God for that was beyond my belief. A desire, hope, or dream that I really cared about, that would be great to have, but I didn’t really believe I could possess or achieve. I’m still working on that because the first thing I saw in this scripture, after God daring me to try, was there is no ceiling and there’s no bottom to what God can do (except lie or change). And it’s not my power that is accomplishing the prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams; it’s the action of His power that is at work within me. If I pick up a fifty-pound dumbbell and curl it with my left arm, you see the arm lift it but it’s the power within that arm that is accomplishing the task. It’s the power in you that is bringing your prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, and dreams to pass. And if that power is unlimited by what you think or do, then nothing is impossible. My next questions are what is the action of His power and what are the consequences of it? Romans 1:16 says that the power of God is found in the Gospel and verse 17 says it is revealed in faith and to the degree that you live by it. And to do that we are going to have to let go of our power, ability and intellect and trust His power, which is the promises of God pertaining to life and godliness. I’ve known that for a long time. I just learned it yesterday.
