Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6 New Living Translation

The Word to live by: I want to tie what you say into the worry and anxiety that I recently talked about. I’ll tell you right up front. This is a rant. I’m telling you this is me, upset with a lot of people I know in the body of Christ that are not talking faith but worry and anxiety. I know about the bombings and the hackings and the shortages and the economy and everything else that is going on in the world. I also know that Jesus said that we are in the world, but we don’t have to be of the world (John 17:11, 16). We can be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world our faith (1 John 5:4).  Faith begins with the words we speak about our situation, not denial but by expressing what God said about it. Quit worrying about what’s going on in the world and believe what God said about you as a citizen of His Kingdom. Matthew 24:35 says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.” Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever.”  The only thing that will stop the Word of God from coming to pass in your life is speaking doubt and unbelief, which happens to be the main component in worry. STOP WORRYING! How? Stop setting your mind on the things that are ungodly that uninformed and unintelligent people are telling you and trust God. When you tell God what you need, trust Him and thank Him for all He has done in your life and then, “you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus,” (Philippians 4:7). Live in His Word, not in the world’s words. That is a learned skill.
