Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
The Word To Live By: Anxiety, anxiousness, worry - however you want to phrase it is not from God and you don’t have to put up with it. In Philippians 4:6, Paul writes under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Something I hear a lot is, “I can’t help it.” One thing I learned a long time ago is if God says you can do something or not to do something, either one is possible. The other thing I learned is the how is always somewhere in His Word if you keep reading and you will do what He says to do. In Isaiah 41:10, the first thing He says to do is quit looking for your answers outside of His Word. What does Matthew 6:33 say? Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” The “things” Jesus is talking about are physical things. Ask yourself the question, “Is what I’m worried about a physical thing?” The answer is yes. Let me put it another way, God is your source for everything you need. He said He would supply all of your needs in Philippians 4:19. Look to Him to strengthen you, look to Him to help you. Do you know what His righteous right hand is? His Word. Think about it. Where is Jesus sitting right now? Hint: Acts 2:33, Mark 16:19, Luke 26:69. John 1:1-3, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.” If you are worried about things, go to the Word and thank God for the answer.
