The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and like a high wall in his own esteem. Proverbs 18:11

The Word To Live By: Your soul (mind & will) tells you that the answer to your problems is more money, that it is a protector. Your spirit and what comes out of it is the answer. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 that the answer to your problems and desires are in the kingdom of God. He said, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”  Then in Luke 6:45 He said, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” Then in Mark 11:23, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” In Psalm 91:1-2, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” I’m not discounting James 2:17, “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” There is more to faith than your confession, but it all starts with what you put into your spirit and comes out of your mouth. Proverbs 18:20-21, “A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Look at this account of two different people as told  in the Gospel of Matthrew 9:18-25, One guy was rich and the woman had spent all she had but grown worse. While He spoke these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.” So Jesus arose and followed him, and so did His disciples. And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour. When Jesus came into the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd wailing, He said to them, “Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him. But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose. Death and life start in the heart and what comes out of it. Money couldn’t help either one of these people but what came out of their spirit did.
