The lazy man will not plow because of winter; He will beg during harvest and have nothing. Proverbs 20:4
The Word To Live By: One of my mother’s favorite sayings to me was, “Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” That never made sense to me when I was younger because if you could wait until tomorrow to do something, maybe you could get by without doing it at all. I eventually learned (by the hard way) that if something was needing done, if it didn’t get done, eventually, it would break at the wrong time. You can always come up with an excuse not to do something but if you will be diligent and persistent, you will open the door to greater things in your life. Hebrews 11:6 says that God rewards those that diligently seek Him. With that in mind, wouldn’t you rather be rewarded by God today than wait until tomorrow? What excuse could possibly come before or stop you from seeking God today? Seek Him first and His righteousness and He will add to you everything you need for life and godliness. Make room for tomorrow’s blessings today. No excuses!
