The Word To Live By: I had a conversation with a young man last evening about the call of God on his life and how could he be sure he was walking in the right direction for the will of God to be accomplished. First of all, let me clarify something. We all have a call of God on our life. That call is to be a Christian and live in such a manner that it brings honor to the sacrifice of Jesus for us, and glory to God. It doesn’t matter if you are in the full-time ministry or you are in a starter position where you work. Back to last night. I told him (the young man I was talking to) that if you are walking in the known will of God, you will walk into his personal will for you. What’s the known will of God? Living according to His Word. “Love the Lord your God, with all your heart, soul, and body. Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Love being defined as unconditional. See yesterday’s WTLB.) Don’t lie, steal, cheat, or destroy someone’s life. Live by faith in His Word. When you are living your life according to His Word to the best of your ability (He knows you are going to fail sometimes. That’s when His mercy and grace kick in.), your steps are ordained by God Almighty. You may not understand, or even be aware that it’s happening, the whys and His ways at the time, but you can trust them to bring His will for your life to pass.
