Hi,
I'm not sure whether this issue was discussed further.
In general PlainText support RTL direction (e.g. Hebrew) well.
Except when you create a new file, it always starts with the text left-aligned. Even when you use an RTL language, e.g. Hebrew.
So when I create such a file, I always have to leave the file for the directory view, and then return to the file. From then on I get it properly aligned.
Can this be fixed?
Thanks, Ram
e.g. I use iPhone 4, latest iOs

We're working on a complete rewrite of PlainText for iOS 7. A lot of details are still up in the air, but hopefully we'll be able to avoid what causes this to reset

Hi,
What I'd really expect, regarding RTL text alignment, is that the alignment would be per paragraph. Other iOs applications (e.g. Notes, Mail, Gmail) work this way. And it does not seem related to any specific iOs version.
By "per paragraph" I mean that if the paragraph begins with English/Latin characters, make it align LTR.
And if it begins with an RTL (e.g. Hebrew) character make it align RTL.

Beyond that iOs allows you, when you select a text, to manually determine its alignment.

So the RTL alignment issue need not be per file or per the whole application. Just per each single paragraph. Each paragraph and its own RTL/LTR alignment.
Thanks
