Hello,
I am interested in using this framework as a foundation for a IM based
iPhone application
Could you provide some example cases on how I might use your
framework?
What I need is the ability for the interface to respond to incoming
messages (different messages do different things). The user could be
looking at Tab #1, but a message comes in, that requires the user to
be in Tab #2... how would I do that?

The easiest way you could do this is using NSNotificationCenter. It
gives you an uncoupled way to have observers listening for
notifications.
