FAST TRACK SELECTION BY INDIAN AIR
FORCE
FOR INDUCTION INTO FLYING BRANCH
1. The FTS has been scheduled to be conducted on 12th & 13th Sept. 2010 at
DBGI campus at Dehradun.
2. Indian Air Force offers a great career opportunity to young aspirants
for making a bright and dynamic career. IAF provides adequate
options to the youth pursuing various streams and levels of education to join
different branches in IAF through various entry modes. FTS is one such
important mode. The aim of FTS is to shortlist the candidates at various
campuses for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards.
(a)
Publicity and Advertisement. Advertisement for FTS
will be released by Indian Air Force in the regional newspapers giving full
details of the designated centres, eligibility criteria, application forms and
selection procedure etc. Advertisements are likely to appear on 4 Sept. 2010 in Employment News05 Sept. 2010, in Regional Dailies.
(b)
Registration. The AF selection team would carry out on the
spot registration for all the eligible and willing candidates on the first day
of event i.e., 12 Sept. 2010 between 0800
hrs to 1100 hrs.
(c)
Testing. On completion of registration, a written
examination would be conducted by the AF selection team. The results of
written test would be declared at periodical intervals on the same day.
All qualified candidates would undergo Phase-I Test (Picture Perception &
Discussion Test) either on the same day or on subsequent day. Phase-I
qualified candidates will be issued call letters by the Air Force Selection
Boards (AFSBs) for subsequent testing.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
(a)
Age Limit: 19 to 23 years as on 01 Jan 2011 (Born between 02 Jan
1988 and
01 Jan 1992)
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
(i) BE/B.Tech
(Four year course) passed-out in 2010 with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in
all papers put together.
(ii)
Any Graduate (Three year course) who has passed-out in 2010 ,with
Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level through regular schooling and minimum 60%
marks in aggregate in all papers put together.
Note :
(i)
The detailed eligibility criteria for the candidature for said event has also
been covered in the advertisement published in Employment News dated 06
March 2010 for 07 Short Service Commission ( Men ) F(P) & 36
Short service Commission (Women) F(P) Courses.
(ii)
The Candidates who have undergone the SSB Interview for 07 Short Service
Commission ( Men ) F(P) & 36 Short service Commission (Women) F(P)
Courses at any of the Air Force Selection Boards are not eligible to
participate in this Fast Track Selection event.
IMPORTANT
NOTES:
Students coming to FTS on 11 – 12 Sep 2010 are requested to
come with following :-
(a) Four
copies of color Pass port size photograph.
(b) All
original certificates with a set of attested photocopies.
(c)The students are advised to search web site www.careerairforce.nic.in
, down-load the form around 04 – 05 Sept. 2010 and come with form duly
filled-up.
