Hi All

As per the trailing mail, all defaulters of Tech Mahindra Drive had to submit an apology letter at the T&P office, latest by 5pm today i.e. 31.3.2014. However, only 2 students have submitted their letter of apology. This is to notify that the rest of the defaulters have been blacklisted from further placements now, with Vice Chancellor Ma'am's consent. These students will not be allowed to appear in any placement drives after Adobe.

Dear Students (B.Tech. - IT/CSE/ECE/MAE & MCA)

It has been noticed by UPC (University Placement Cell) that students do not appear in the placement drives recently arranged/organized by the Cell. Specially MCA students have shown the most casual behavior when it comes to absenteeism during placement drives. University Placement Cell is doing tremendous effort in making these drives possible and even personal contacts are being used.

Some of the recent drives are listed below where the attendance of IGDTUW students was below the acceptable limit.

1. Tech Mahindra Ltd. at IGDTUW (33 students attended out of 71 students from the list) - List of Absentees attached

2. Cognizant Pool Drive at AMITY (Only 01 student attended out of a list of 60 Students)

3. IBM Drive at NOIDA (Only 18 students attended out of a list of 68 students)

3. CFE Ltd. Pool Drive at GIBS Delhi - MCA only (Only 06 MCA students attended out of a list of 33 Students)

4. Scope International Pool Drive at AIT Delhi - (Very few students attended out of a list of 67 students)

This trend is diminishing the image of IGDTUW among companies and peer institutions who invite us for Pool Drives. Officials involved in above mentioned companies have almost decided to boycott IGDTUW for future placement drives, this move will certainly affect the future placement scenario at IGDTUW. Eventually your junior students will be suffered.

Keeping in view the above points, It is decided to not allow the defaulter students (Absentees in Tech-Mahindra Attached) in further placement drives until they give their reason of absenteeism in writing along with the undertaking in hard form to the office of the undersigned latest by 31/03/2014 (MON - 5PM) failing which their names will be taken off from the placement database.
