Hello there, I have included an image from which I would like to identify the wood used to make the dowel in the foreground.
Any ideas oh wise ones?

Have a great day, Alex Tuckwood

Hello,

Am not 100% sure but maybe beech? It is a cheaper hardwood often used for dowels.

Looks a lot like what is sold as simply "hardwood dowel" in Wickes / B&Q etc. Might be worth popping into a branch and seeing how close it matches?

Matt
