Thought I'd share some pics of the table I've been doing in the space over the last few months (took me a while!). Apart from cutting the mortices with the router and then the top with the table saw this was otherwise made using hand tools. It's built from ash and finished in osmo oil with a very thin layer of briwax.
Some tasks turned out to be easier than I expected, such as tapering the legs and bevelling the underside of the top, a very sharp plane helped a lot! I struggled with the tenons though which resulted in it all being a bit out of square and looking very ugly inside. The dovetails were not my worst attempt but still needed a fair bit of saw dust to fill the gaps :)
If I did it again I'd be a bit more selective with the stock and perhaps use a different wood altogether. I'd also make the legs a little more delicate and take more care with the 'reveal' gap around the drawer.
