Hey,

I've never really been sure who the Playwood group leadership is but notice the list has been a bit quiet recently, I've also been in on a few Wednesdays and not seen anybody running inductions.

With us leaving soon (and hopefully moving) I wonder if anybody is making plans to ensure all the Playwood gear gets accounted for? There's the stuff in the locker of course, and tool's such as the lathe, but also the benches which it would be great to ensure make it to the new space?

Just putting feelers out to see if anybody is on the case , or if not does anybody want to team up to make sure nothing gets lost / inadvertently binned? There's still enough Playwood users in the space each week to make it pretty straight forward I think.

Thanks,

Matt

I'm in, let's team up and happy to help and follow your suggestions if
you know what plans are for moving/storage. Ollie

Are there some details about closing (?) / moving anywhere?

I’ve only just joined.... can’t see anything giving info on main site or by searching Wiki pages

Cheers

Matt,

I've been in touch with Chris ward ostensibly about inductions but I also mentioned your post to him, He's tied up with his furniture making course and won't be able to help much with the move to the new place.
So I suppose it'll be up to us. I'm in the space all day tomorrow, but i live locally so I can get to there anytime if you want to chat about the move. How's the bench coming along?

I'll be in tomorrow as well Steve, think it would be a good idea to formulate a bit of a plan with it all and write a definitive checklist of what can be taken and what should be chucked with the move.

Sorry Steve / Mark, been away this weekend, did you guys come up with anything?

I'll be around next weekend to help with the move, sounds like there is storage space available so hopefully the Playwood gear will be accounted for.

Cheers,

Matt

Hope the packing is going ok, sorry I haven't been around to help but I'm out of the UK with work at the moment. Just wanted to check that the lathe tools that are in the locked cupboard have been accounted for and packed? Not sure who has the code but if anyone needs it let me know.

No worries Mark, I packed everything down from the playwood lockers WEDS/THURS last week. Matt and Ollie were in on SAT to help with the rest of the move. Unfortunately nobody had the code for the lathe locker, so Phil used a mark one combination lock decoder (CLUB HAMMER) to help us poor carpenters out!!! ;-) Eveyrthing except the shooting boards, ( which some smart alec decided to bin even though I carefully boxed and marked as Playwood) is now in storage.
Steve.
