Welcome to the PL(A)YWOOD e-mail group. Please keep conversations wood and hand-tool focussed.

This forum was founded to discuss the choice of tools, ideas and projects and communicate breakages, damages etc.

NEW MEMBERS: Please introduce yourself on the introductions thread. Please be pro-active and teach yourself. Ask questions and we'll be happy to try to help, but we're not pros or teachers. We've learnt through experimenting and making mistakes, but there is always someone around to lend a hand if you get stuck.

Access to tools: The PL(A)YWOOD group administers a fine collection of hand tools owned by the space. The tools are stored in a locker. Access to the tools is granted upon demonstration of safe, responsible proficiency in tool use. We encourage everyone to learn how to sharpen and maintain the chisels, planes, saws and other equipment but please report breakages via the group.

Note that PL(A)YWOOD does not administer access to the power tools, planer, table saw etc.
