Through his work with many different teams, Stéphane has progressively
developed a style far from the cold erotism of the majority of the fashion
photographs.
Naturalness and Freshness
"Women are fed up with Porno Chic" confirms Stéphane Bourson. He believes
that they no longer identify themselves with the image fashion photography
embodies. He thus offers a very different, natural, humorous and fresh
universe, showing images closer to reality. "Women tend to identify
themselves more easiliy with a natural and smiling model in a real-life
situation than a teenage girl in a designer dress".
The Result of Teamwork
Fashion photography is the result of close team work. The photographer, the
model, the make-up artist all add their touch. "The name of each and every
one should appear in the photo credits". This team spirit inspired Stéphane
Bourson`s creation of the project "Elle": photographies of one and the same
model, Julia, in different situations. Variations on the same theme, an
approach as atypical as the entirety of his work.
