Hello.
I am writing to you on behalf of GUTenberg, the french-speaking TeX group.
A small but active team is currently revitalizing our association, which was
slowly withering away. Our Journal, les Cahiers GUTenberg, will be
relaunched
this year, with Jean-Michel Hufflen as editor-in-chief; you must know
him, as he
has been attending your annual meeting in Poland. We are currently
looking for
a lake ending with the sound TeX, but it's hard to find in France: our next
meeting will be held online, next saturday.
We have already relaunched our bulletin, la Lettre GUTenberg. It is now
online
and the team has already published three issues—the latest, enclosed, having
been published yesterday. Every issue uses a new typeface and contains an
article about it. For the last issue, it has been decided to use a font
of the
TeX Gyre project, to pay homage to it. The Schola typeface was chosen,
and I had
the pleasure to write the article about it. I wanted not to speak only about
Schola, but about the whole TeX Gyre project, err... about all the GUST
e-foundry works. Which I did. The article starts page 28. It is only
four pages
long, but I could have written hundred pages about this subject. I was very
impressed by what I found when digging into the e-foundry works.
All I can now say is the only word I know in Polish: dziękuję!
