very many thanks for the good words and for your insightful comments
concerning the metrics of the Latin Modern family of fonts.

You are perfectly right that the data has to be amended -- fonts were
released in 2009; the making of OTFs was then an additional (not to say
redundant ;) ) step, performed using Adobe Font Development Kit for
OpenType (AFDKO/MakeOTFexe.exe) with chiefly default settings.
The time is ripe to prepare a new release of LM OTFs using our updated
font generating engine. It cannot be excluded that we will ask you for
your opinion.
