Nepal's capital - Kathmandu - has had a very active and succesfull online discussion group for years now named Kathmandu Kathmandu, or ktmktm (http://groups.google.com/group/ktmktm). It enables members to share what's going on and what to find where. As Nepal's second city, Pokhara deserves a similar online group. Hence the birth of the Pokhara Pokhara group, or pkrpkr!
As ktmktm, this group focuses on the international community in Pokhara, but is open for everyone. It is an attempt to pull together all of the things happening and inform a broader audience, like where to buy/get/find stuff, events, social meeting places, ideas, exhibitions, galleries, photography and anything else we can think of.
Please join and start contributing!
Rules
1. Communicate in English.
2. Only members can post.
3. It sounds obvious, but where relevant include date, location (with map, if possible), cost and purpose.
4. Always sign with your name, and the name of your organization if the message pertains to one.
5. Make sure to reply to author, if your message does not pertain to everyone.
6. Use of abusive language will result in exclusion from the group.
7. Read other people's messages to avoid sending the same thing twice.
8. Failure to comply with these rules may result in bad karma.
9. Enjoy and don't forget to contribute something from time to time!
