Environment we care….
We as a company and as individuals are very conscious about the environment around us. Below the lush green forest of Bajrabarahi, our factory is built of Rammed Earth, ancient technology that uses local mud/soil….that reduces the use of concrete by 80%. This also ensures our factory to be earthquake proof. In the process of going towards zero waste,we harvest rain water for our daily consumption in the factory including drinking water. This water, after use goes into a treatment plant and after about 2 months of treatment, it is reused for as many as 3 cycles making our daily consumption of water less than 300 liters a day in average. 70% of our power consumption is through solar energy. Tea/ meals are cooked in bio gas.It also provides us with the “highly valuable compost” which we use in the garden and greenery we maintain around the factory. All the cotton waste is taken back to the mill to turn this waste into cotton which then is made into cushions, floor cushions etc which then becomes pride of the Nepali households.
