Hello,

I am proud to announce the first release of the Eclipse Buildroot Bundle
which integrates the pkg-config support plugin.

Buildroot is a tool to build embedded Linux systems using
cross-compilation. It allows to build a cross-compilation toolchain (or
re-use an existing one), a root filesystem image with applications and
libraries, a kernel image and a bootloader image or any combination of
these.

Since Buildroot[1] generates a toolchain and install libraries and
headers to develop applications for the target embedded system, it is
desirable to easily access these toolchains from Eclipse CDT. Accessing
those toolchains allows to build application for the target directly
within Eclipse.

Thanks to the pkg-config support plugin, Eclipse automatically
recognizes all the cross-compiled libraries provided by Buildroot
toolchain and exposed through pkg-config, so that linking an application
against one or several of those libraries is just a matter of selecting
them in a list.

You can find more details on the github project :

Best regards,
Mélanie
