PLD Group,
This is Jimmy, Diane’s husband.
I was with Diane over the many years she fought this condition.
I would be happy to share with any of you what I have learned and experienced by being at Diane’s side as she persevered in trying to learn as much as she could about discovering ways to treat PLD. This includes her life-saving partial hepatectomy at the Mayo Clinic. Over the years I consulted many times with her nehrologist there, Dr.Vincent Torres, who is world renowned in the field of PKD. And his collaboration with Dr.Nagourney who performed the miraculous surgery on Diane.

She fought this disease for many years and never gave up hope that through learning and sharing, others in her groups could benefit and live healthier and happier lives.

Please, stay in touch from time to time. And feel free to ask me anything.

Thank you, Jimmy. 

I recall her telling me how safe and “easy” it was for her to enjoy life because she had an understanding and loving husband. If true richness is measured in the heart, the two of you were among the riches in the world. 

I am starting (finally) my vegetarian journey and working toward keto. It’s been bumpy and I have the will power of a gnat in the wind. But I am making great progress. Sometimes it’s just one wing beat at a time in the right direction…

Thank you for your support of Dianne, of our group, and of the people she inspired.

Jo,

Diane “hounded” me for years to go on a vegan diet.  After many years of stubbornly resisting, I capitulated, kicking and screaming.

When I did start eating vegan, I loved it !!   

I never felt better in my life than when I gave up meat.

Anyway, for what it’s worth, that was my experience.
