As a shameless start to this blog, I would like to advertise our podcast, The World A La Carte. This is a weekly show hosted by radio personality Pierre Wolfe and me featuring adventure travel and world class dining. Recent or upcoming episodes include Mongolia, Antarctica, Guatemala, Kathleen Flinn's and her new book about Le Cordon Bleu, Easter Island, etc...guests may include people you know (lots of Philmont folks) and we are always looking for interesting guests! The show is free, and can be downloaded, subscribed to or streamed at the iTunes store or on Talkshoe.com. You don't need an ipod, just a computer! Second, I am seeking contacts for upcoming travels in Central Asia. If anyone knows any contacts in the following places, please let me know! I will probably not travel to all these places, but I like to be prepared: Russia (Siberia mostly), Mongolia, Beijing, western China, Tibet, any country ending in 'stan, the Caucausus (Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan), Turkey, or anywhere in Eastern Europe (former Yugoslav areas, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus...).
