Hey!
I wanted to thank yall for your support and dedication to this cause.
But I also wanted to remind you two events that are coming up VERY
soon.
1st event: THURSDAY @ 7pm (ending at 8:30pm) in the Graham Center
(Faculty lounges). Max Romeau from Center for Pan-African Development
is coming with some Umoja Village residents to discuss in greater
details the dynamics of gentrification and miami racial politics.
Please spread the word. If you don't know where the faculty lounges
are, just go to the shantyhut and ask someone.
2nd event: FRIDAY @ 7pm. The Deconstruction begins. :( But don't
worry, we'll be planning a a meeting between fiu students and umoja
resident villages for NEXT FRIDAY. next friday we are planning to have
a barbeque and acquaint students with residents. Please stay tuned
for more updates. exact times, dates, etc. etc. will be made shortly.
LASTLY: AFTER THE THE SPEAKING EVENT ON THURSDAY, I AM CALLING ON ALL
A.N.S.W.E.R. MEMBERS AND LEADERS OF COALITION ORGANIZATIONS TO MEET UP
AT 9PM AT THE SHANTYHUT. THIS WILL BE AN IMPORTANT ORGANIZATIONAL
MEETING (i.e. where do we go from here?)
