Jungle Hare Line And Trail Advice
Please check the Jungle Hare Line for run dates in need of a hare.
You can register to a hare a Jungle or Lunar run using the Jungle/Lunar Hare Line Registration Form or by contacting either of the Hare Raisers, AFC or The Wizard at contac...@gmail.com.

Further Incentive to Hare a Run
In light of the continuing problem to fill the hare line schedule, mismanagement has approved an additional condition for receiving a run award. In addition to completing 25 runs to reach the next award level, the hasher must also have hared at least one run of the 25 runs to receive their run award. If the hasher did not hare a run in that time period, the award will be held until they have added their name to the hare line to hare an upcoming run.

All Hash A Sites - Future & Past
When looking for an A-Site it’s useful to look to see where recent hashes have run or will be used in the future. That information can be found on the All Hash A Sites - Future & Past page. A complete record of all hash trails since 2011 is available for download at Google Earth File Of Hash Trails.

A Site Recommendations
We now have another map avaiable to help hares select an area for their run. This map displays A-Sites that haven't been used in at least six months, are no closer than 2 km to an A-Site that has been used in the last six months, and is at least 1 km from a restricted area. This map can be found on the A Site Recommendations page.

Important Notice To Hares - Restricted Areas
The PJH3 maintains an online map of known restricted areas, as well as areas where the landowner has requested we contact them before using. It is the hares responsibility to check this map to ensure your trail does not encroach on any known restricted areas. The map can be found on the Restricted Areas Map page.
If you know of, or become aware of restricted areas, or areas where we need to seek permission, please send the relevant information to contac...@gmail.com.

Run Report By: The Wizard

A small crowd assembled at the Buffalo Bar awaiting transportation the A site but even when the latest departure time arrived the second bus was less than full. The weather was fair, in fact good for hashing, so what was it that was keeping everyone away?

A reasonably long ride out to our northern limits of Highway 331 is not the answer,r but on arrival there were equally few drivers at the A site.

Still, you don’t have to have a good crowd to enjoy a hash, what you need most is good hares – and there in lay the problem, probably…

Beverly Hills Pink Cock who had a recent record of ‘issues’ whilst haring (including sabotage and varying levels of incompetence), Speedo Pete, making his last appearance at a Jungle Run before returning to the UK to avoid Visa issues and continued money laundering for Free Willy – and with a mischievous trait that has been shown before whilst haring ( I say mischievous…but he refuses to utilise GPS whilst haring, relying solely on the sun, stars, wind and an innate desperation to get back) and Ging Gang Goolies – being a German, an absolute stickler for rules and obedience (heaven forbid you don’t say his name perfectly) unless of course they are rules that he is oblivious too or chooses to forget; these were our hares for the day. Stand down Holmes, the mystery is solved. Even more so for those of us that hash on a regular basis and had some understanding of the terrain and how the
run might go. But there we were, and with little unnecessary ceremony the first circle was concluded and we were on our way. We had been told that there was a split for runners and walkers after only a couple of hundred yards ‘and walkers stay behind till the runners have gone’ was the final instruction.

By the time we had travelled less distance than it was to this split I had tripped over a root and in the few seconds it took to get up and wash the sand from my blood soaked knee (it was only a flesh wound, honest) found myself at the back of the small pack of runners and already beginning to hate this trail.

I really didn’t want to be the back marker on what was likely to be a tortuous run so I found myself under pressure to catch those in front of me. No need to worry, my exceptional running skills soon brought me right back into the mix, well a couple of well placed checks may have been responsible….

However, there I was with the few mid-packers and feeling good about it all again. We covered the first few km on familiar nice farmland skirting the hills around us, and the thought came to me….was it possible…do you think the hares will double bluff us by NOT making use of the hills? Not a chance! After about 5 km the torture began. Up and up, and when we got to the top we went up some more, and then we came down a tiny little bit and went up and up some more.

Thankfully there was plenty of paper but even if there hadn’t been I could have followed the trail of blood from hashers nose bleeds from running at altitude. Eventually, though, as the saying goes, what goes up must come down, but even on the way down we kept going up.

After 10km and the best part of 2 hours I jogged back into the A site, some of the guys had been back a while but the atmosphere was strangely quiet, many people sat on their chairs with their heads in their hands and still breathing out of their arses, not a lot of small talk going on, but someone did ask me if there was anyone behind me still out on trail. The cheek of it.

I don’t remember much of the next hour as I was still gasping for oxygen, but I do remember having some nice food and watching my heart rate fall from 180 to a more normal 60. I also remembered I had been asked to do this report by Sir Arseaholic who is one of the hares for the next run, along with Mudcracker who was absent.

Happy to oblige for you Sir A, but Mudcracker, you owe me one.

During the following ceremonies it was revealed that GGG had no part in the laying of the trail, and was only conscripted to the team in order that he could qualify for an outstanding award cap. You could have at least paid attention and served the beers mate!

Several cold beers later everyone seemed to be in good spirits and good health again.

Thank you hares (even you GGG) and farewell to Speedo Pete, who has proved to be a great guy, valuable member of the club and excellent in the circle.

Safe travels mate, hope to see you again on PJH3 some time.

The Wizard

Misdirections To A-Site

From Pattaya Klang, turn left onto Sukhumvit and drive north to the Highway 7 on ramp, exit right and after collecting your toll card drive almost all the way out the the highway 36 interchange.

Take the exit marked Rayong, pay your 10 baht toll and drive down under and back up onto Highway 36, keep left and don't merge with 36, drive up to the 3240 overpass and turn left and merge with 3240, continue out to the left turn for Wat Tham Prathun (HHH) 500mts after the Santi Kham Rd intersection.

At the HHH turn left and continue for approx 450 mts and look for the A site under the trees on the left almost opposite the trail on the right.

If you are strapped for cash and can't afford the toll, take 3240 out around Lake Maprachan instead.

Run Report By: Mad Cow

A nice sunny Sunday in the land of smiles greeted me as I made my way to the buffalo bar. I was on my lonesome today as Cow Pat Moo was M.I.A.

Well a bit of a lie, as I'd persuaded a guy name Blackout to join me. Top man. We jumped the first songtaew, and a short pleasant ride to the A site (30m).

The usual motley crew were there. After sign ups completed, GM Cannonball called the circle Hares Arseaholic and Mudcracker (Virgin hare) to explain the run.

A live hare, should be interesting. Off MC went. The pack waited 10m, then off to try to catch the hare.

The Wankers (sorry walkers) stayed behind, as Arseaholic was our hare. A nice shaded trail with a bit of elevation.

Passed a heard of goats. I expected to see Seal Sucker stuck up one. A Billy goat with a great big pair of bollocks.

We got home in 45m (3.2km).Maybe a tad short. But enjoyable.

We sat around chatting (bull shitting) waiting for the runners to arrive.

Mud Cracker came stumbling out of the bush, 1h 35m, hot on his tail 35s later was Seal Sucker, Dirt Looney 1h 37m. Then dribs and drabs came home.

Wizard in 2h 4m.Slumping to his chair, said if had have a gun he would have shot himself.

All in all the run was said to be tuff, ruff, and a bastard of a run, with hills, streams, dogs and cattle, what Idiot would set such a run.

Beers were drunk, bullshit was spoken. Then food was served. Potato salad and chicken. Thank you Squeeze.

More beers were drank, more shit spoken. But at 3h 30m Princess Bum Boy came staggering home.

He collapsed on to a stool, a pink one at that’d have put him in the bucket for sitting on a gay stool.

Well I will leave you with this. Always live each day as your last. Because one day you will be right.
On Out.
Mad Cow.
