PJH3 Mismanagement Meeting Minutes

Present: Pussy Snatcher, Bam Bam, Diddy Dicker, Mental Disorder, AFC

 

·         Pussy Snatcher called the meeting to order at 6.00 pm.

·         Take last meeting minutes as read.

·         Jungle Finances: Bam Bam.
Cash: B151,531
Cash and Assets: B232,323

Cash and Assets increased by about 5.5K from last month. Finances continue to be in good shape.

·         Previous Runs:
St. George’s Day run: Another great run. Thanks to the hares and sponsors for the shorts and shirts. There was an issue with runners not heeding the advice to walk when their trail passes near cattle. The result being we had one very irate farmer that had to find and chase down a cow that had been scared off by the runners.
Runners are reminded they must walk when any livestock is encountered on trail.
Run #344: We were made aware of another area close to the run site that hares will need to ask permission of the land owners before using. Pussy Snatcher to update the online map of known restricted areas. Traffic was unusually heavy due to the long weekend holiday with the baht buses taking close to two hours to return to Pattaya.
Advice for Hares: Hares are requested to consider keeping their a-site selection close to Pattaya when their run falls on a holiday weekend. To the extent the baht bus drivers will listen, we’ll also endeavour to suggest to them routes with less traffic to/from the a-site.
Hares are also requested to route their trails away from newly planted crops. If a trail follows the border of a crop field, to plan the trail so runners will not be tempted to shortcut across the field.

As always, a big thank you to the hares and volunteers on A-site prep/clean up detail. Their efforts are appreciated.

·         Chimps Night Out/Bar Hop: The Chimps Bar Hops continue to be well attended and enjoyed by all. Next Chimps Bar Hop is on 18 May. Please contact our Chimps organizers, Diddy Dicker or Piss Pole Dancer if you can help or have an idea for a Chimps Night Out/Bar Hop.

·         Jungle Irregular Lunar Run: Hare line is open. Anyone wanting to hare a Lunar, please contact the GM, AFC.

·         Rags: Rags sales continue to be strong under the capable hands of Lord Lucan, Bushwoman, Diddy Dicker and Pissed Pole Dancer.

Diddy Dicker has kindly volunteered to transport and handle rags sales during LL’s absence. A big thank you to Diddy Dicker for stepping up and helping out.

This highlights how important volunteers are to the success of the Jungle Hash.

·         Hare Line: In great shape. Next open date is 31 July. If you would like to hare a run, please contact the Hare Raiser, Lord Lucan.

·         General Business:
- 2016 PJH3 Post Mekong Extravaganza: Bam Bam has added a link to the Jungle website as part of the agreement to list Harrier Magazine is the official media sponsor. In return, Harrier Magazine has given us advertising space in their magazine. The latest digital version of Harrier Magazine has a full page ad which was prepared by Bam Bam. Thanks!
- AGPU Dinner: Transport leaves the Boomerang Bar at 17:00 pm and will leave the Sea Falcon around 20:30 pm. Discussion and approval on a few special awards for the after dinner ceremony.
- Next Year’s GM: Pussy Snatcher has agreed to serve as GM for another year. To avoid burnout he has requested that once a month a stand in GM volunteers to assume circle duties. To this end a signup sheet will be circulated at the AGPU Dinner in which hashers can volunteer to handle circle duties for the run of their choice.
- Pre or post lube event for the 80^th Mother Hash anniversary in September: The consensus was to not plan any special pre or post lube event. Those in the Pattaya area around that time are, of course, welcome to attend any of the regularly scheduled Jungle runs and events.
- 200/300 Run Plague: We’re looking to source a large enough piece of wood, at a reasonable cost, to make the plague. Any suggestions for a source would be most welcome. Contact Bam Bam for details of what is needed.
- Thai Nash Hash: It was proposed and discussed the Jungle hosting a TNH in 2017. To move forward with this idea we would need a list of who is willing to volunteer and what their role and responsibility would be. Mental Disorder to provide a list at the next Jungle mismanagement meeting.
