NOTE: The road into the A-site is under construction and you'll have to take a slight detour. Look for the HHH sign about 20 m just past the usual road in. The detour will take you on a single lane road through the resort next to the under construction road. Just follow the signs with a red arrow to 

4 July: Jungle Mismanagement Meeting: All are welcome and encouraged to attend - Drinking & Meeting starts @ 6 pm at Nicky's Guesthouse - Soi Bua Khao

16 July: Run #375: 3rd Annual Fat Lazy Bastards Run, Hares: Pussy Snatcher & Gangreen

19 July: Chimps Bar Hop: First beer will be at the Boomerang Bar at 6 pm. No sign up - Pay as you go. Look at Hash notice board for the names of the night's bars. Drink at your own pace. There is no food stop on Bar Hops.

Itinerary

Sunday

08:30  Baht buses leave for Si Racha ferry dock from the Buffalo Bar.

10:00  Ferry to Koh Si Chang

11:00  Baht buses take the group to Tampang Beach (since been renamed "Jellobutt Beach")

12:00  Lunch on your own if you want it. Restaurant right on the beach.

15:00  On Out

16:30  On In

18:00  Catered dinner is served on the beach

19:00  Circle on the beach until....

We will have rooms reserved on the beach for overnight. We intend to book up nearly all the rooms.

Monday

08:00 Baht buses take group back to Koh Si Chang ferry dock

09:00 Ferry back to Si Racha

10:00 Baht buses take group back to Pattaya.

11:00 Should be back to Buffalo Bar

NOTE: 

* At this time we can only accommodate 30 hashers due to limited room space and logistics. First paid, first served.

* Cost for the run is 2,000 baht which includes: baht buses, ferries, catered dinner, beer, water, softies, a single bed, trail, lots of ice, and the possibility of a memento souvenir. If the price paid exceeds the actual cost, hashers will receive a refund. Pay signup fee to Pussy Snatcher.

* If you wish to stay on the island longer than the above schedule, hashers will need to make their own arrangements. Signup fee for those attending just the run and circle with dinner and drinks TBD.

* Not everyone will get a single room. Couples will get first choice of the single rooms. Some unattached hashers will need to shack up in rooms with multiple beds. Let Jellobutt know in advance who you definitely will NOT share a room with so he can make sure you are assigned that roommate.

Other Important Jungle News

 

Call For Volunteers: We are still looking for volunteers to assist Jackal and Jellobutt. Duties of the run assistants include loading/unloading of beer, softies, table and chairs and A-site set up. Volunteers will ride the transport from the storage location, currently Pussy Snatcher’s house, to the A-site and back again at the conclusion of the run. Diddy Dicker has offered to give volunteers a ride from the Boomerang Bar to Pussy Snatcher's house. This is a minimal time commitment and an opportunity for every Jungle hasher to help at least once each year in the logistics of hosting our bi-weekly Jungle runs. 

We are also looking for volunteers to handle signups and signups hash cash. For these two positions we would like to enlist the help from those that drive their own vehicles to the A-site.

GPS Needed: To help our run assistant volunteers navigate to run A-sites, it would be most helpful if they had a GPS. If anybody has a portable, dash mounted GPS they would like to donate to the Jungle, please contact mismanagement.

Trail Paper: If you have access to, or know of a business that would like to donate shredded paper, please let us know via contac...@gmail.com.

Hare Line And Trail Advice

The hare line health is once again in good health. Check hare line for next open date. If you have never hared a run, or have not hared recently, please contact the Hare Raiser, AFC.

For those that have never hared a run or have not hared in a long time, expect increasing pressure from your fellow hashers to step up and grab an open date.

For trail planning, contact Pussy Snatcher for help on selecting an A-site and/or planning your trail. With a bit of armchair trail planning using Google Earth haring has never been easier.

The PJH3 maintains an online map of known restricted areas, as well as areas where the landowner has requested we contact them before using. It is the hares responsibility to check this map to ensure your trail does not encroach on any known restricted areas. Here is the link to the map.
