Right in the center of Bologna, between Via Marconi and Via Ugo Bassi,
there's a filthy, piss soaked under-passage. All day long various men
(mostly old Italian men and 30-something North Africans) can be seen
hanging around the place, hustling and looking for a quick and nasty
blow-job.
This extremely ran-down passage's walls are filled with marvelous ads
for male and transexual prostitutes, as well as brilliant exchanges of
insults and remarks.
As a farewell to the city where I lived for two years, I decided to
document this fantastic place with pictures and audio recordings.
My Norwegian friend Tor Navjord provided a Zoom digital recorder, a
Sony Microcassette recorder and a camera and we spent some time in
this piss-smeared dungeon, collecting field recordings and taking
pictures.
