Pixie power supply works best on battery power

to Pixie QRP 40 Meter CW Transceiver kit

I run my Pixie on a 12V gel cell.

A regular power supply produces too much hum.

No contacts yet as 40 meter propagation has been long during the last few evenings.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have about 7 Pixies. Five are the original basic unit and 2 are the S Pixie which has a piezo and a TX LED.

Unless you have an power supply with extremely low ripple, best to run the Pixies on a 12 Volt Gel cell.
